Diagnostic techniques for infectious bovine rhinotracheitis: a review

چکیده
Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) is a group of the respiratory disease multifaceted pathogens and key cattle, leading to significant economic losses dairy industry globally. The causative agent IBR Bovine herpesvirus type-1 (BoHV-1), which member genus Varicellovirus in Alphaherpesvirinae subfamily, belongs family Herpesviridae, order Herpesvirales. BoHV-1 can be categorized into three subtypes (BoHV-1.1, BoHV-1.2a, BoHV-1.2b) that belong one single viral species, serologically indistinguishable strain. Therefore, more optimal method for rapid diagnosis infection highly needed. Hence, objective this paper review appropriate diagnostic techniques virus infected cattle. In review, various confirmatory methods used were briefly described. routinely detected by neutralization tests enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (indirect or blocking ELISA). IBRgE-ELISA most specific serological test recommended marker vaccine differentiate wild from vaccination schemes. Furthermore, isolation tissue swab samples cell culture DNA detection with LAMP, PCR, real-time PCR are all detect Direct sequencing entire genome using Sanger recently allowed differentiation subspecies distinction field strain strains based on nucleotide polymorphisms. As gold standard culture, commonly followed gene sequencing, it also recommended.

Cattle exhibiting the vulvovaginitis form of the IBR complex are sexually mature females that do not appear ill. Signs of IPV include a thick yellow to brown vulvar discharge that attaches to the vulvar tuft of hair. The vulva is swollen and the vulvar and vaginal lining is reddened, dying and/or contains small whitish-colored pustules. The vaginal-vulvar infection causes irritation, exhibited ...
متن کاملBovine herpesvirus 1 infection and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis.
Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1), classified as an alphaherpesvirus, is a major pathogen of cattle. Primary infection is accompanied by various clinical manifestations such as infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, abortion, infectious pustular vulvovaginitis, and systemic infection in neonates. When animals survive, a life-long latent infection is established in nervous sensory ganglia. Several react...
متن کاملInfectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis: An Indian Perspective
The first report of disease caused by BoHV1 was made as a venereal disease in a bull and contact cows (Rychner, 1841) which was subsequently referred to as Blaschenausschlag in German literature. The viral aetiology of the disease was proved by Reisinger and Reimann (1928). The first published report on respiratory IBR came from Schroeder and Moys (1954) where they described an apparently new u...
متن کاملSusceptibility of bovine macrophages to infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus infection.
Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus replicated in cultured bovine alveolar macrophages (AM). However, yields of infectious virus were low, with maximum titers approximately 100 times that of the residual inoculum. Immunofluorescence and electron microscopic studies indicated that the majority of macrophages produced viral antigen, but after infection at a multiplicity of 0.1, only 4.1% of A...
متن کاملDiagnostic Techniques of Bovine Tuberculosis: A Review
Bovine tuberculosis is a chronic bacterial disease of cattle caused by Mycobacterium bovis. In many countries, bovine tuberculosis is a major infectious disease of cattle, other domesticated animals and certain wildlife populations. It has a public health significance. Bovine tuberculosis is usually diagnosed in the live animals based on the basis of delayed hypersensitivity reactions using var...
